The main vision for A Mad Black Girl'z journal is to encourage personalized digitalization that meets people where they are. In these times we lack online spaces that don't capitalize off of monetization. It is time to change the way technology encourages our negative cognitive patterns. However, I acknowledge how hard it is to start good habits and to get away from technology. So: I created a space where you can not only have access to my own political organizing but other creatives as well! ---Including yourself, despite what your interests are. Whether you are into politics, poetry, astrology, art, videography & photography... or perhaps you want to explore an online space that brings those things together! Well then you opened up the perfect can of worms lol :)

This is Lil Mike & Jamie, you can basically call them your virtual tour guides. Or as I'd like to see them as your virtual friends here to help you as you explore the website.
Jamie and Lil Mike are here for a few reasons :
First, To encourage an age-friendly environment. If you aren't too sure where certain buttons or where pages will take you, they are here to explain the logistics of what you are viewing and how to get access to different pages on the site.

Secondly, to embrace the joy that comes with digitalization and customization! Color, characters, and art are all forms of our imagination that this space invites and centers!

Last, you can perceive their messages as footnotes or disclaimers. As if the author of a book you're reading was speaking to you in parentheses.
